We are proud to be a Bronze sponsor of the inaugural NESSBE Health of Place program that will discuss how the built environment can promote health and wellbeing. The inaugural NESSBE (Northeast Summit for a Sustainable Built Environment) will take place in New Haven, CT on April 28-29, 2017 and will start the conversation that reveals the inextricable connection of sustainable design and improving and supporting human health and wellbeing. There will be a series of keynote speakers that will focus on health and happiness, biophilia, [biomimicry](https://www.pirieassociates.com/blog/bio-concrete-auto-healing-building-material), energy and water conservation, materials, and resilience—all topics that are important Pirie's core mission.  We are also proud of own [Melissa Kops](https://www.pirieassociates.com/melissa-arminio-kops-at-pirie-associates-architects-connecticut) who is the Chair of the Organizing Committee for this event. To learn more about the program and register, visit [www.nessbe.net](http://www.nessbe.net/).
