Date: 12.05.18

Pirie Associates Architects is working with the Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor, Connecticut on the restoration of this iconic structure originally located in downtown Hartford.

For decades this structure provided shelter to trolley riders and later bus riders near the Old State House. The fundraising campaign was launched today at an event fittingly held at the Old State House.  The restored Isle of Safety will provide shelter at its new home at the Trolley Museum for generations to come and serve as a poignant reminder of how public infrastructure can create a sense of place.  www.ct-trolley.org
