Jake Morgan joined Pirie Associates with 5 years of experience in architecture and preservation. Prior to joining our team, he spent two years in the commercial office development practice at Gensler in Washington, D.C. While at Gensler, he worked on various large-scale commercial and institutional projects in North America and Asia and contributed to numerous competition-winning design proposals.
Growing up in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Jake developed a love of the outdoors. He also was influenced by the works of local artists Cy Twombly and Sally Mann-who were able to capture the emotional connection that he felt with his surroundings. Jake’s passion for nature and the arts, and his interest in experimental design and craft, lead him to explore the relationship between the built and natural environment. Jake received his master’s degree from Catholic University in Washington with a concentration in urban, social, and environmentally-focused design.
