Last year was the first year we sponsored a Prize for Social and Environmental Justice during The Great Give.
We selected seven organizations to compete for the prize, which would be awarded to the group that signed on the greatest number of new donors. Though they didn’t win the prize, Solar Youth developed an inspiring, creative video to help entice new donors. We were so impressed with their effort, we decided to give them a match-based gift of $2500 this year. Additionally, we will be hosting a summer field trip to visit the site of our competition-winning energy-generating art installation where we and the project’s partner organizations will help teach kids how art, sustainability, community engagement, and partnership work in our communities.
